Write JavaScript like a professional: modern syntax, async/await, fetch and REST APIs, Node.js and npm, then TypeScript. Get framework-ready.

Open any React, Angular, Vue or Next.js project and you'll find the same things on every line: destructuring, spread, map and filter, modules, classes, async/await, fetch, and more and more often TypeScript. This course teaches exactly those, so that framework tutorials stop looking like magic. It is the follow-up of JavaScript Level 1 and the gateway to the Full-Stack path. In the first half you master modern JavaScript: destructuring, spread and rest, optional chaining, array methods (map, filter, reduce and friends), callbacks, closures and this, classes with private fields, and ES modules. Then you conquer asynchronous code, where most juniors get stuck and what interviews test: the event loop, promises, async/await and real error handling, fetch with JSON and REST APIs (loading and error states, POST requests, cancelling requests), plus Node.js and npm: package.json, scripts, a command-line tool and a tiny HTTP server. In the second half you learn TypeScript, now the most used language on GitHub and the default for professional JavaScript: types and inference, interfaces and type aliases, unions and narrowing, generics and utility types, classes, and a strict tsconfig. All along you build Pawfect Match, the adoption app of the Happy Tails animal shelter, on a local REST API (no sign-up, no API key), then migrate it from JavaScript to TypeScript, the most common real-world TypeScript task. Every lesson has a main video, a "more examples & common pitfalls" video, a quiz after each video and a lab that runs in your browser (TypeScript type-checked live, network calls safely simulated), plus homework on your own computer for Node.js and the final project. Light humour included: Biscuit the beagle explains promises better than any diagram.
