LINQ, async/await, generics, events, dependency injection, xUnit and EF Core: the exact skills .NET job offers ask for, on one real project.
Created by Ouissem BEN HENIA
Open any .NET job offer and you will read the same list: C#, LINQ, async/await, Entity Framework Core, dependency injection, SOLID, unit testing. This course is that list, in that order, built into one real application. You already know C# basics; now you learn to write C# the way professional .NET teams do. You start with modern C#: records, nullable reference types, primary constructors and pattern matching that turns 48 lines of nested ifs into 11. You write your own generic types, pass behaviour with delegates and lambdas, add methods to types you don't own with extension methods, and decouple your code with events. You master LINQ, the feature other languages copied, from Where and Select to GroupBy, joins and deferred execution. You go under the hood with the right collections, iterators and resource management, write correct async code with Task, WhenAll, cancellation and async streams (and learn why async void and .Result are bugs), and use reflection and custom attributes to build your own mini test runner. Then you apply SOLID and dependency injection with the same generic host, configuration and logging that ASP.NET Core uses, structure a multi-project solution, and protect it with xUnit tests. Finally you persist everything with Entity Framework Core and SQLite: DbContext, migrations, relationships, projections, transactions, concurrency, and the famous N+1 query, caught red-handed in the SQL log. All along, you build Dispatch for Pedal Post, a cargo-bike courier co-op: parcels, pricing rules, rider assignment, live delivery rounds, reports, a database and a test suite, plus a parrot who squawks every time a parcel is delivered. Every lesson has a main video, a "more examples & common pitfalls" video with a "senior review" challenge, a quiz after each video and a lab (online for single-file exercises, local for xUnit and EF Core), with full solutions. You finish ready for the ASP.NET Core module of the Full-Stack path.
